During the days 14, 15 and 16 September 2014 will be the Day of Jewish Culture, a European event with great media coverage that involves the Jewish culture in contemporary art in 29 countries across Europe.

The main theme is THE WOMAN IN JUDAISM. On days 15 and 16 September, the famous Duo De Stefano gives life to two concerts titled "Music ... is a woman?" Which will focus on some of the big names of the musical repertoire such as Ravel, Bruch, Mahler and other famous authors linked to the culture and the Jewish people that will end with the famous symphonic poem by Bedrich Smetana "the Moldau" in the evocative version for piano 4 hands. They Will be joined on the podium by Tatievskaya Duo, teacher in the School of Music of the Cultural Association "Ars Musica" in Oppido Mamertina.

 

Under the patronage of the Municipality of Cosenza, the day of September 15, will start from 16:00 with an art exhibition dedicated to the image of women in the Torah and Israel, coordinated by Dott. Roque Pugliese. The show will be hosted by the National Museum of Bretti and Enotri in collaboration with the Museum Director Dr. Marilena Cerzoso and will end at 18:30 with the start of the concert of the Duo. On September 16, the event will move to Vibo Valentia, a city that has a long history of Jewish origin, at the Auditorium of the Vibo Valentia Library System (Via Ruggero dei Normanni) with another exhibition titled "Women in the torah and Israel: Miriam the music of freedom" by Dr.. Roque Pugliese and with the following introduction of the Director of Conservatory "Torrefranca" in Vibo, Mr. Francescantonio Pollice. Prof. Licia Bevilacqua then will held a conference entitled "The woman between modernity and tradition" that ends with an invitation to listen the concert at 17 by De Stefano Duo and Tatievskaya Duo with the same program. The event, created and sustained by UCEI-Union of Italian Jewish Communities and the territorial coordination of the referent of the Jewish Community of Naples and Calabria in southern Italy Dott. Roque Pugliese, is also sponsored by the High Patronage of the President of the Republic, by the Department Europe policies of Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Patronage of the Ministry of Education, University and Research, the Ministry of Heritage and Culture and Tourism and the Region of Calabria. The other participating cities at the event are Bova Marina, Santa Maria del Cedro, Crotone, Catanzaro and Reggio Calabria.

“One of the most renowned duo-piano teams before the public today” (Miami Herald,28.03.07).

The twin brothers Francesco and Vincenzo De Stefano are award-winner in more than 150 national and international competitions both for soloist and duo. In particular, are the winners of the most prestigious competitions for piano duo as the “Dranoff” International Two Piano Competition in Miami (205) as the youngest winner in the history of the competition. winner also of the “Cilea” competition in Palmi, 1° prize at the International Grieg Competition in Oslo, 1° prize at the Internationale Sommerakademie Mozarteum Universitat in Salisburgo (2005), “Grand Prize” at XIV International Piano Duo Competition in Tokyo, I° prize at XIXX International Competition “Valentino Bucchi” in Rome, I° prize at XVI “Music and Earth” International Competition in Sofia, 2° prize at XVI International Schubert Competition for Piano Duets in Jesenik (Czech Republic), 2° prize at the II “Bradshaw & Buono” International Piano Competition in New York and many many others in Russia, France, USA. Born in 1986 in Reggio Calabria, they had their first recital at age nine. At only 15 years old both graduate with highest honors at the Conservatory in Vibo Valentia under the guidance of Paolo Pollice, a unique event that required the intervention of the Regional Administrative Court of Reggio Calabria. They studied at the Imola International Academy with Ballista, Masi and Margarius. They studied also with Vincenzo Balzani and under Aquiles Delle Vigne at Salzburg Mozarteum and Hochschule in Lipsia where obtained post-degree title. Their repertoire is wide and move from Bach to contemporary years with Ligeti, Lejsek, Chick Corea, Bergmann, Borboudakis, Calligaris, Cavallaro, Capicchioni, Donadio, Giannetta. Some of them wrote and dedicated to the duo several works. This let the Duo not only to enter into the world of contemporary music but even to play into important hall like Carnegie Hall in New York, Lincoln Theater and Colony Theater in Miami, Wiener Saal and Großer Saal in Salzburg, De Doelen Theater in Rotterdam, Gewandhaus in Lipsia, Kodaira Citizens Cultural Hall in Tokyo, Conservatorio Tchaykovsky in Moscow, Giant Cristals Hall in Sofia, Bosendorfer Hall in Vienna, F.Liszt Hall in Budapest, Sala “Verdi” at Milano Conservatory “G.Verdi”. Invited frequently into important institution and festival like Dranoff Foundation in Miami, Festival “MiTo”, Serate Musicali in Milano, Brno Festival, Euro Arts Music Festival Leipzig, Festival “Grieg” in Oslo, Festival in Nizza, Radio Vaticana. In 2013: Project "Beethoven" - Integral of the nine symphonies transcribed for 2 pf first ever performance for the AMA Calabria Association, the debuts at Academic Hall "S. Cecilia" in Rome and the Festival "Ciani" at Cortina d'Ampezzo. In 2014: debut in San Petersburg for the Festival "Baltic Plan of Duets" with music by Italian composers including premiere of Toccata by Carlo Donadio for 2PF and 8 hands, a concert with with the 'International Symphony Orchestra "Capella Taurida" directed by Mikhail Golikov with the first world performance of Giacomo Manzoni's "Più Mosso". OLGA E NATALIA TATIEVSKAYA

Sorelle gemelle, Olga e Natalia Tatievskaya sono nate in Russia il 29 marzo 1988. 
Hanno cominciato a fare i primi passi nella carriera musicale all'età di 5 anni, quando entrarono nella scuola musicale di Ivanovo. Sin dalla tenera età hanno cominciato a suonare come duo pianistico e il loro primo concerto pubblico incluse il repertorio per pianoforte a 4 mani. Sotto la guida della loro prima insegnante Natalia Veselova, Olga e Natalia hanno avuto successo in numerosi concorsi regionali per giovani musicisti. Sono diventati vincitori in diverse categorie: solisti, duo pianistico e in formazioni cameristiche.
Dal 2003 al 2007 Olga e Natalia hanno continuato la loro educazione musicale al Musical College di Ivanovo parallelamente con lo studio presso la scuola secondaria e si sono diplomate con il massimo dei voti ricevendo la medaglia d'oro. Nel Musical College hanno studiato nella classe di Tatiana Sharova, figura d’ onore della cultura russa. Tale periodo è stato dedicato a sviluppare le qualità esecutive e ad un intenso apprendimento della teoria musicale, metodologia dell’insegnamento del pianoforte, inoltre fù pieno di attività concertistiche e competizioni. Nel Marzo 2006, Olga e Natalia hanno vinto il Primo Premio al Concorso Pianistico Internazionale in memoria di Sergej Rachmaninov di Mosca e hanno tenuto un recital presso la Sala "Lira". Come partecipanti del progetto "New Names", hanno suonato alla Casa Internazionale della Musica di Mosca.
Nel Dicembre 2006 Olga e Natalia hanno ottenuto il secondo premio al Concorso All-Russian Piano Duo e al Festival-Concorso di musica da camera di Sochi. Ci sono alcuni articoli sul duo e interviste in diversi quotidiani nazionali: "Da capo al fine", "Fortepiano", "Musikant - Klassik" ed altri. Nel Gennaio 2007 al duo pianistico è stato assegnato il premio "Giovani talenti della Russia" istituito dal Ministero della Cultura. Inoltre, le sorelle Tatievskaya hanno ricevuto il premio speciale del governatore della Regione di Ivanovo per gli eccellenti risultati artistici. Come solisti e duo pianistico hanno frequentato master classe con musicisti russi famosi: Irina Osipova, Andrej Diev, Alexander Fomenko. Olga e Natalia hanno continuato gli studi di Alta Formazione Musicale a Mosca presso l’Accademia Classica Statale di Maymonid nella classe di pianoforte di Ekaterina Derzhavina, docente del Conservatorio Tchaikovsky, vincitrice dei numerosi concorsi internazionali e pianista-concertista.  Olga e Natalia hanno studiato il corso di musica da camera sotto la guida del professor Valery Samoliotov e Maestro accompagnatore con il professor Vadim Fedorovtsev.

Durante gli anni dello studio il duo delle sorelle Tatievskaya era stato premiato in diversi concorsi internazionali tra cui il 3 ° Concorso Internazionale di Pianoforte a quattro mani di Valberg, Francia, il X Concorso “Grieg” di Oslo. Hanno suonato per le diverse associazioni culturali di Russia, tra i concerti più importanti il recital per l’ Anno della Cultura in Russia, concerto nel Museo Memoriale di Sviatoslav Richter a Mosca, concerti nelle sale dei Conservatori di Mosca e San Pietroburgo, partecipazioni nei stagioni filarmoniche di Ivanovo e altre città. Dal 2010 stanno realizzando il progetto di suonare il repertorio per 2 pianoforti ad otto mani collaborando con il pluripremiato duo pianistico Francesco e Vincenzo De Stefano.  Insieme hanno suonato in Italia, Francia, USA e Russia. Da ricordare è il Concerto di Capodanno al Teatro “Cilea” di Reggio  Calabria 2 gennaio 2011, la partecipazione al Documentario Video realizzato da Sky Classica “ I  Fratelli De Stefano",  il Piano Slam Volume 3°, evento della Dranoff Two Pianos Foundation di Miami, USA, concerto nella Sala Verdi del Conservatorio di Milano, concerto in occasione dell’anno della cultura italiana in Russia nella sala filaromica di Ivanovo, concerto nella sala Taneev del Conservatorio di San Pietroburgo e altri.
